Aramis Ramirez drove in two runs in his return to Wrigley Field, Ryan Braun got booed relentlessly and the Milwaukee Brewers hung on to beat the Chicago Cubs 7-5 on Monday night. The Brewers were sailing along with a four-run lead going into the ninth when things got real interesting. The Cubs scored two runs and had the bases loaded when John Axford struck out Starlin Castro looking on three pitches to end the game. Axford came in with runners on first and third with one out, and Ramirez immediately booted Marlon Byrd's grounder to third, allowing one run to score.

The question: How do other ballparks compare with Fenway Park? The answer is simple: They do not. Wrigley Field in Chicago comes closest, as it is similar in age (Wrigley turns 100 in 2014), and has unique nuances that might never be duplicated. Both have an old ballpark scent, which comes with 100 years of existence. ‘‘The age of the parks, the feeling that you're in a shrine is similar," said former Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein, now president of the Cubs. ‘‘Both ballparks exude history.

By Peter Abraham, Globe Staff DALLAS — Theo Epstein left the Red Sox for the Cubs on Oct. 22. Seven weeks later the sides have not agreed on compensation and seem disinterested in settling the issue. "We'll resolve it at some point," Ben Cherington said, joking that there was a loose plan to talk again at some point. Epstein, who is splitting time between Boston and Chicago, said he has used the offices at Fenway Park to conduct business while he's in town. It was either that or Panera Bread.

By Peter Abraham, Globe Staff Dale Sveum was introduced as the new manager of the Cubs today in Chicago. "He knows the game inside and out," Theo Epstein told reporters at Wrigley Field. "He has a great combination of intelligence and intuition both between the lines and in the clubhouse. Next is his rare ability to hold players to high standards and hold them accountable, while also earning their respect and admiration. Dale demands a lot of his players but is held in universally high regard by them.

When we heard that Pink Floyd founder Roger Waters will be taking "The Wall" back on tour next summer, we wondered if he might bring the rock 'n' roll spectacle to Fenway. How great would that be: "The Wall" meets the Green Monster. Well, it just might happen. Waters is embarking on a 36-show North American tour in May that includes several ballparks: AT&T Park in San Francisco, Theo Epstein 's Wrigley Field, and Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. Waters does, in fact, have a Boston show booked July 1, but the venue is, at this point, to be determined.

By Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff STARBUCKS, NEAR WRIGLEY FIELD — Been sitting at the outdoor terrace at the Starbucks near Wrigley Field all day. Must admit, I've seen three men who look like Theo Epstein. One guy drove up in a Honda SUV with a female passenger and ordered what looked like a venti latte. Another rode up in a bike. Definitely not Theo. The third ordered a banana and an iced coffee. Don't know if Theo even drinks coffee. But none of them — and I'm 100 percent sure — were Theo.
