Pavel Datsyuk set up both regulation goals for the Red Wings, who moved a point ahead of Nashville for fourth in the Western Conference with 101 points. Both teams have two games remaining. Detroit, over 100 points for the 12th consecutive season, is 9-2 in shootouts.

Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 28 shots and was perfect in the shootout for his 36th victory of the season. The Penguins extended the league's longest active winning streak by overcoming a third-period deficit for the eighth time this season, tied with Tampa Bay for the most in the league.
