" But the Celtics and 76ers turned it into a "miss-miss" playoff game Wednesday night, the Sixers heating up enough in the final quarter to take an 82-75 victory. The Celtics shot 33.3 percent from the field, somehow staying in contention until the final minutes, in setting up Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals at TD Garden on Saturday. PHILADELPHIA - Celtics guard Avery Bradley traveled with the team in preparation for Game 6, but his status for Wednesday night's contest has not been determined. Bradley, who has been dealing with a left shoulder injury, missed the Celtics' 101-85 win over the Sixers in Game 5 Monday night at TD Garden. Ray Allen regained his starting spot in place of Bradley. "He's an extraordinary defensive player," Allen said of Bradley, "but I just tried to stay in my lane and do what I'm capable of and be a part of the defensive unit.

By Gary Dzen, Boston.com Staff Sixers coach Doug Collins made it clear in his postgame news conference that he isn't content to just force a Game 7 in Boston. "I want more," said Collins. "I'm willing to get greedy. We want more. We've fought, we've worked hard, we've gone through a lot as a team. Our mindset is, I don't want to go into it with 'No matter what happens, we'll be OK' I want to win it. " Collins said he would tell his team to be confident and to go for broke in Game 7, which is Saturday night at TD Garden.

In an NBA season shortened and condensed by a lockout, bench players have been more important than ever - even in the playoffs, when teams normally shorten their rotations. For the Sixers, and teams such as the Spurs and Pacers, success has come as much from the subs as from the starters. In the Sixers' Game 4 win Friday night, they got 44 points from their bench. The Celtics got 12 from their reserves. That wasn't the case in the Celtics' 101-85 win in Game 5, highlighting the importance of the bench for the Sixers.
