NFL rushing leader LeSean McCoy is active for the Philadelphia Eagles despite a toe injury that slowed him in practice this week. McCoy went through pregame warmups and was deemed ready to go Thursday night against Seattle. Along with McCoy, cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha also was active despite a nagging left knee injury. Both McCoy and Asomugha were listed as questionable. The Eagles had already ruled out quarterback Michael Vick, wide receiver Jeremy Maclin and cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

Michael Vick will miss his third straight game because of broken ribs when the Eagles play at Seattle (4-7) on Thursday night. Vince Young will start for the Eagles (4-7). The two-time Pro Bowl quarterback is 1-1 in his first two starts. Wide receiver (hamstring) Jeremy Maclin and cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (ankle) also won't play. Running back LeSean McCoy (toe) and cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha (knee) are questionable. Vick broke his two lower ribs in a loss to Arizona on Nov. 13.

By Tony Massarotti, Globe Columnist With all due respect to Bill Belichick and Tom Brady and the laudable Patriots Way, some of us simply cannot buy in yet. Not now. Not after yesterday. Not as the Patriots have resumed their march through the regular season against a collection of tackling dummies and blocking sleds, the latest coming in the form of a Philadelphia Eagles outfit that is the NFL equivalent of the 2011 Red Sox. All of that talent. So little heart. And positively no clue.
