A pennant race changer: Mariano Rivera is down for the count. He is out for the season with an ACL and meniscus tear. The Yankees can now feel Boston's pain. The Red Sox lost their closer, Andrew Bailey , to thumb surgery that will likely keep him out for all but the last couple of months of the season, at least. In no way are we comparing Rivera, the greatest closer of all-time, to Bailey, but for the first time in 15 years, the Yankees have to think about another guy finishing games.
