Spectacular as it seemed, it was nothing we haven't seen from LeBron James before. Maybe that's the funny thing about all the hoopla over James' performance in Game 4 of the Pacers-Heat series. Because for once, it wasn't just his talent that deserved the spotlight, but his maturity. The question, after all, was never how good James was; he answered that long before his fateful decision to trade Cleveland for Miami turned James into the superstar everybody loves to hate. He won a scoring championship, back-to-back MVP awards and single-handedly dragged the Cavs into the playoffs each...

You can't blame US Olympic men's basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski if he's rooting against the Heat in the NBA playoffs. An Indiana victory will free up LeBron James , Dwyane Wade , and Chris Bosh to join newly sprung Blake Griffin and Chris Paul of the Clippers. Also still playing are Kevin Durant , Russell Westbrook , and James Harden of the Thunder, Kobe Bryant of the Lakers, and Andre Iguodala of the 76ers. After the league's truncated, cram-jammed season, Krzyzewski would love for his 18 candidates to have...

With revenues that exceeded $1 billion for the first time in its 21-year history, it's no surprise that Sapient Corp., based in Boston's Back Bay, is back again as the top services company in the Globe 100, a spot it has occupied for two of the last three years. The biggest driver was the company's SapientNitro marketing services business, which grew 33 percent over the previous year and accounted for 67 percent of Sapient's revenues in 2011. Sapient's history as a technology-focused company has clearly served it well in the current marketing climate.

Pacers reserve guard Lance Stephenson apologized for making a choking gesture toward LeBron James. The NBA's MVP wasn't so forgiving. In fact, he didn't even know he had been mocked. James said Saturday that he was unaware that Stephenson had been caught by cameras in front of Indiana's bench wrapping his hands around his throat after the Miami star after a missed technical foul during Game 3 on Thursday night. So when James was asked for his reaction, he dismissed Stephenson.

Refreshed in body and spirit, the Miami Heat returned to practice reunited and refocused. There was no looking back. No heartfelt apologies given. No need for a detailed autopsy of Dwyane Wade's ugly sideline exchange with coach Eric Spoelstra in Game 3. What's done is done. All that's for another day. Right now, it's time to save the season. "We move on," Wade said. Down 2-1 in the Eastern Conference semifinals to the ready-to-rumble Indiana Pacers, the Heat were back on the floor Saturday after staying away from Bankers Life Fieldhouse for a day to...

LeBron James grabbed a seat on Miami's bench, lowered his head, and stared down at the floor. Way down. The Heat are in a hole. Roy Hibbert had 19 points and 18 rebounds, George Hill scored 20, and Danny Granger 17 as the Pacers, showing more balance, toughness, and togetherness than Miami, throttled the malfunctioning Heat, 94-75, Thursday night in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals in Indianapolis. Overlooked during the regular season and given little chance to upset the reigning East champions, the Pacers took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven...
