Nikita Nikitin scored for Columbus, which was playing on back-to-back nights. The Blue Jackets lost 4-3 Saturday night in Vancouver. Matt Stajan scored for Calgary (34-26-13), which snapped a four-game home winning streak. It was a costly weekend for Calgary's playoff aspirations in the congested Western Conference.

Niklas Hagman scored the deciding goal in the eighth round of a shootout and the Anaheim Ducks beat Calgary 3-2 on Monday night for their 14th straight home victory over the Flames. Bobby Ryan and Matt Beleskey scored less than 2 minutes apart in the first period for the Ducks, who won the tiebreaker by a 3-2 margin. Jonas Hiller made 24 saves. The forward scored 19:13 into the extra session last night, lifting Calgary to a 1-0 victory over the Detroit Red Wings and sending the sixth-seeded Flames into the conference finals for the first time since 1989. Gelinas eliminated Vancouver when he scored in overtime in Game 7 of the first round. His only other previous playoff goal in overtime won a series for Carolina over Toronto in 2002.
