The driver of a Miley Cyrus tour bus was killed yesterday morning when the bus overturned in Virginia; the 16-year-old “Hannah Montana’’ star wasn’t on board. The bus, driven by William G. Douglas , 53, of Austin, Texas, ran off the left side of Interstate 85, struck an embankment, and overturned, state police said. ‘Twilight’ sets record “The Twilight Saga: New Moon’’ set a box-office record for midnight screenings. Summit Entertainment estimated yesterday that it earned $26.3 million after opening early in the morning.

NASHVILLE - Forget The Police, Justin Timberlake, or Bruce Springsteen. The undisputed hottest concert ticket of the year is for 14-year-old pop star Miley Cyrus, star of the Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana" TV show. Fans are so desperate for seats to her 54-date tour, kicking off later this month, that venues have sold out in as little as four minutes and scalpers are getting four to five times the face value - creating a torrent of complaints from frustrated parents. "We knew it was hot, but we had no idea it was this crazy," said Debra Rathwell, senior vice...

Amid the commotion that Miley Cyrus has morphed from a Disney star into a pop tart, a simple fact has been overlooked: Her new album isn’t half bad. For much of last year, the hottest act on the pop music circuit wasn't U2 or Bruce but Miley Cyrus, the 15-year-old actress-singer who plays Hannah Montana on the eponymous Disney Channel series. Tickets to her 55-city "Best of Both Worlds" tour sold out as fast as they were printed. Parents of teens and tweens heard everything from prayers to tantrums when they tried to score seats. Enough of them succeeded to push the tour gross north of $36 million. Now, and quickly, comes a 3-D movie version of the stage show.

Miley Cyrus rippled the waters last week when she essentially disowned her current radio hit, a tasty slice of dance pop called “Party in the USA.’’ Asked in a video interview what her favorite Jay-Z song is, because “Party in the USA’’ mentions the radio playing it, Cyrus admitted she didn’t know anything by the hip-hop titan. In fact, Cyrus said she recorded the song only because she needed something for her clothing line and does not really even listen to pop music.
