The wildlife footage is astounding in DisneyNature's new documentary "Chimpanzee. " Legendary primatologist Jane Goodall is on board as both spokeswoman for and beneficiary of the film, and a portion of opening-week ticket sales will be donated to her research. In general, the more young people who see the film, the more who will be made aware of a fascinating, complicated near-relative whose numbers are dwindling rapidly. Does all this mean "Chimpanzee" has to be so Disneyfied?

A dramatic trailer surfaced Tuesday for Ben Affleck 's latest directorial project, "Argo," set to be released in October. The film, which also stars Affleck, is about Tony Mendez , the real-life CIA guy who helped Americans escape from Tehran in 1979 by convincing the Iranian government that the group was a Canadian film crew… . Greenwich town officials are asking an ABC television show to hit the road early after filming in the town. Town officials told the Greenwich Time ( http://bit.ly/qUQu3J) the hidden camera show "What Would You Do?" was disruptive and they asked the film crew to choose another location for filming. The show sets up morally difficult situations and secretly films people's reactions. Town officials say having the show set up in front of stores has a negative impact on business in the town.

"Mortified," the stage show that features people reading from old, embarrassing childhood diaries in front of a crowd - and which now has a television show on the Sundance channel that has celebrities showing off their mortifying mementos - was in Boston over the weekend to film a live "Mortified" performance for the upcoming documentary "Mortified Nation. " The film crew, including "Mortified" creator David Nadelberg, stopped by Rustic Kitchen at the soon-to-be-launched Revere hotel (formerly the Radisson)

Ben Affleck's latest directorial project, "Argo," has a release date. The movie - which also stars Affleck as a real-life CIA guy who helped get Americans out of Tehran in 1979 by convincing the Iranian government that the group was a Canadian film crew - will come out Oct. 12. Wayland actress Taylor Schilling, who appears in this weekend's release "The Lucky One," will play Affleck's wife. Could be verse "I have a lot of teen angst on paper. Now I just kind of make up songs for my girls.

The Seth MacFarlane -directed movie “Ted’’ took over the Hatch Shell over the weekend to stage a Norah Jones concert that will be used in the film. Norah was cheered on by thousands of extras who played the audience. Meanwhile, hundreds of fans gathered along the Esplanade to watch the Saturday and Sunday night shoot. The film’s star, Mark Wahlberg , took the stage during the filming to sing a song - “All Time High,’’ the theme from “Octopussy’’ - and was booed (at MacFarlane’s direction)
