Devin Harris scored 21 points and had a key block that forced overtime to help the Utah Jazz defeat the Orlando Magic 117-107 and keep their lock on the final Western Conference playoff spot. The Magic (36-27) dropped their second straight and first since All-Star center Dwight Howard had back surgery that will keep him out until next season. Jameer Nelson led Orlando with 23 points, including three 3-pointers, but had his shot blocked at the end of regulation. The Jazz trailed by 14 in the first half, by 12 in the third and by six midway through the fourth before rallying.

Carmelo Anthony scored 21 of his 33 points in the first quarter, and the New York Knicks beat the Nets, 104-95, Wednesday night in their last trip to New Jersey. Continuing his torrid stretch without Amare Stoudemire and Jeremy Lin, Anthony hit his first six shots in front of the usual pro-New York crowd that will become an all-New York crowd next season, when the Nets move to Brooklyn. The Nets once hoped to have Anthony in the lineup when they got there and he is showing why lately, surpassing 30 points for the third straight game and the sixth time in nine games this...

DALLAS - Jason Kidd is a member of the Dallas Mavericks. Again. Finally. The long-discussed, once-scuttled, and ultimately reconfigured deal to bring Kidd from New Jersey back to the team that drafted him was finalized yesterday. He was reintroduced in Dallas 14 years after the Mavericks made him the No. 2 pick. Back then, Kidd was supposed to help turn around one of the worst franchises in sports. Now, as one of the league's best point guards, he's seen as a crucial piece in the Mavs' pursuit of a championship.

Devin Harris hit an unbelievable lunging half-court shot at the buzzer and the New Jersey Nets snapped a season-high five-game losing streak with a 98-96 victory over the slumping Philadelphia 76ers last night in East Rutherford, N.J. With players from both teams surrounding the scorer's table, the referees watched replays of Harris's shot for nearly three minutes before signaling the basket was good. Seconds earlier, the 76ers seemingly nailed down the victory when Andre Iguodala sank the second of two free throws to give them a 1-point lead with 1.8 seconds to play.
