Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price has a mild concussion and will miss the rest of the season. The team made the announcement Wednesday after the 24-year-old All-Star was examined by the club's doctor. Price has been suffering from headaches since teammate David Desharnais landed on him during a 2-on-1 drill in practice late last week. He played the following night in a 4-1 loss to the New York Rangers. Backup goalie Peter Budaj will face Tampa Bay on Wednesday night.

Brad Boyes and Thomas Vanek scored in a shootout to help the Buffalo Sabres beat the Montreal Canadiens 3-2 on Monday night. Jhonas Enroth made 25 saves in place of injured starter Ryan Miller to improve to 6-0 this season. Jason Pominville and Derek Roy scored in regulation for Buffalo, which has won four of its last five games. Vanek assisted on both goals. Filip Kuba scored 3:07 into overtime Friday night as the Ottawa Senators moved into first place in the Northeast Division with a 2-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens. After taking a pass from Daniel Alfredsson, Kuba beat Carey Price with a slap shot from the top of the left faceoff circle. Erik Karlsson assisted on Kuba's winner, giving him four points in his last three games and 71 points in 71 games on the season. Kuba scored on Ottawa's 33rd shot as the Senators passed idle Boston for first place in the Northeast, although the Bruins have two games in hand.

Claude Giroux had two goals, backup Sergei Bobrovsky made 23 saves and the Philadelphia Flyers beat the Montreal Canadiens 3-1 on Friday. Jakub Voracek also scored for the Flyers, who got all of their offense in the second period. Giroux now has 29 points (13 goals, 16 assists) on the season. He entered the game second in the league behind Toronto's Phil Kessel. Petteri Nokelainen scored and Carey Price made 33 saves for Montreal. Philadelphia outshot Montreal 36-24.

Neil tied it at 2 at 8:57 when his centering pass went in off Montreal defenseman Jeff Woywitka. Milan Michalek scored late in the second as the Senators overcame a 2-0 deficit to split back-to-back preseason games between the teams. Michael Cammalleri scored two goals 2:39 apart in the second period for the Canadiens, who erased a three-goal deficit in a 4-3 shootout win Friday at Ottawa.

Iginla's second goal of the night with 1:18 left in the second period gave Calgary a 4-2 lead heading into the third period. Skating down the wing, the Flames' captain failed to get a shot away while being defended by Josh Gorges, but he carried the puck behind the Canadiens net and tucked the shot inside the near goal post before goaltender Carey Price could get across.

David Desharnais scored in regulation and in a shootout as the Montreal Canadiens pulled out a 5-4 win over the Minnesota Wild, despite blowing a three-goal lead in the third period Thursday night. The Wild trailed 4-1 going into the final four minutes of regulation and scored three times. Matt Kassian got his second of the game, and Dany Heatley scored before Devin Setoguchi tied it with the Wild playing with six attackers with 9 seconds to play. Adam Hall also scored for the Lightning, who are 11th in the Eastern Conference and trail eighth-place Washington by five points. Mathieu Garon finished with 23 saves. Stamkos took a pass from Teddy Purcell, deked around goalie Carey Price and put the Lightning up 1-0 at 8:42 of the first period. Purcell, a game-time decision due to the flu, has 10 assists and 14 points during a career-high seven-game point streak.
