The following was submitted by the Unitarian Univeralist Church of Marblehead: Fans of the Beatles, young and old alike, will be elated that the Unitarian Univeralist Church of Marblehead is once again hosting a benefit concert that includes an eclectic mix of talented musicians all singing everyone's favorite Beatles songs. This year's benefit is called "Come Together. "  The benefit takes place on Saturday, June 23 at the UU Church of Marblehead on Mugford Street.

Country singer Alan Jackson has raised more than $150,000 to help a Virginia county rebuild schools damaged by last year's earthquake. A benefit concert by Jackson drew 6,000 people to Louisa County on Sunday night. Jackson performed in the parking lot of Louisa County High School, which was closed after the magnitude-5.8 earthquake on Aug. 23, 2011. Mineral, the town at the quake's epicenter, won the show in an online voting contest. Media outlets report that Jackson told the crowd many of those who voted for Mineral in the contest aren't from the town.

The Boston Gay Men's Chorus will perform at 3 p.m. Nov. 6, in the Groton-Dunstable Performing Arts Center, part of the regional middle school on Main Street. The First Parish Church of Groton is sponsoring the event, and all proceeds will go to the Gay Straight Alliance chapters at local high schools to address bullying issues. The chorus, in its 30th season, sings a variety of classical and popular music. Preliminary figures show a concert featuring The Black Eyed Peas as the headliner raised at least $1.3 million to help with flood recovery efforts in the North Dakota town of Minot. The following was submitted by the Unitarian Universalist Church of Marblehead: Beatles fans will be elated come Friday, June 24 when the Unitarian Univeralist Church of Marblehead hosts their annual benefit concert showcasing some of region’s most talented musicians performing Beatles songs.   This year’s benefit is called “All Together Now” and part of the proceeds from this concert go directly to a special fund to send musicians into local schools for workshops and concerts as well as to benefit programs at the UU church.

A scheduled Black Eyed Peas benefit concert in Central Park has been canceled due to severe thunderstorms. The concert, which was expected to draw up to 60,000 spectators to the park’s Great Lawn, was originally scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, but was delayed an hour and then canceled all together because of the weather. The concert to benefit the Robin Hood Foundation was also to feature appearances by Natasha Bedingfield, LL Cool J, Carole King, MC Hammer, and Debbie Harry.

Kid Rock is teaming up with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra for a one-night benefit concert for the nationally recognized orchestra, organizers announced Monday. The May 12 show at Detroit's Fox Theatre aims to raise $1 million, the DSO said. Kid Rock plans to perform with the orchestra and his own band. Detroit Symphony Music Director Leonard Slatkin is expected to conduct the orchestra. "As a musician, and of course a Detroiter, I am proud to be supporting this longstanding cultural institution," Kid Rock said in a statement.

Adele's throat doctor, Steven Zeitels, director of the Massachusetts General Hospital Voice Center, was in the audience Sunday night at the Grammys when the singer thanked her medical team from the stage. He said he wasn't nervous when Adele opened her mouth to sing publicly for the first time since he operated on her last November. He'd already heard her sing at a checkup a month after her surgery. Standing in his office at One Bowdoin Square, the British star ran through many songs on "21," which went on to win the Grammy for album of the year.
