Chauncey Billups made his first three shots of the fourth quarter, leading the Detroit Pistons to an 87-71 win over the Cavaliers last night at Cleveland in the first matchup between the clubs since last season's playoffs. Billups, who was just 1 of 9 from the floor after three quarters, dropped three jumpers -- two 3-pointers -- in the first 3:02 of the fourth as the Pistons went on a 14-3 run to open a 71-58 lead with 8:19 left. Billups scored 17 points, including 12 in the fourth, and added 10 assists.

Carmelo Anthony and Marcus Camby both had double-doubles, Earl Boykins scored half of his 20 points in the fourth quarter, and the Denver Nuggets beat the Wizards, 108-105, last night in Washington for their fourth consecutive victory. Camby had 24 points, 14 rebounds, and 6 blocks, including one on Gilbert Arenas's 3-point attempt just before the buzzer. Carlos Boozer had 31 points and 11 rebounds, and Derrick Rose added 23 points and 12 rebounds to help the Chicago Bulls beat the Pistons, 95-92, in overtime last night in Auburn Hills, Mich. Rose also had eight assists. Tayshaun Prince led Detroit with 17 points. The Pistons sent the game to overtime when Charlie Villanueva tipped home a missed shot with 0.6 seconds left. Detroit missed three shots on the possession, but grabbed three offensive rebounds. Shaquille O'Neal wasn't at his best. Again, it didn't matter -- Dwyane Wade saw to that. Wade controlled the game last night with 31 points, including a critical 3-point play with 1:05 left, and added a career-high 15 assists, helping the Miami Heat stay perfect in these playoffs with a 108-102 win over the visiting Washington Wizards. Miami leads the Eastern Conference semifinal series, 2-0. Tomorrow's Game 3 is at Washington, where the Heat have won 11 times in their last 14 tries.

Caron Butler scored 29 points, Antawn Jamison had 28, and the Wizards beat the Toronto Raptors, 101-97, in Washington last night in a game in which each team was missing its best player. Butler went 10 for 18 from the field and added seven assists. Jamison was 11 for 18 and had 14 rebounds for the Wizards, who broke a two-game losing streak by shooting 56 percent. The Wizards improved to 5-4 without Gilbert Arenas, who is out several months with a knee injury, while Toronto is 1-1 without Chris Bosh, who did not make the trip because of a strained right groin.
