Goaltender Martin Brodeur has been taken off injured reserve by the New Jersey Devils after being sidelined more than two weeks with a bruised right shoulder. Brodeur practiced with the Devils on Monday and could play on Wednesday when they play host to the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Prudential Center. The 39-year-old Brodeur was hurt on Oct. 13 making a diving stop against the Los Angeles Kings in the first period. He finished the period and was replaced by Johan Hedberg, who has started the last six games.

Gerardo Suero scored 26 points and Albany (N.Y.) rallied, then held off Maine 76-75 Saturday night in America East action. Maine (8-7, 2-2) led 71-66 with 4:16 to play. But Albany (12-7, 4-1) outscored the Black Bears 10-4 down the stretch and held on to win. The decisive point came with 1:07 remaining. Alvin Abreu scored 21 points and Brian Benson had 19 and 12 rebounds as New Hampshire held off Albany (N.Y.) 69-64 Thursday night. Abreu was 7 of 13 from the field, knocking down four 3s in the process. Benson was 9 of 10 and made his only 3-point attempt. Brendan Bald scored 10 points and Sandro Carissimo added nine to help Vermont take down Albany (N.Y.) 50-47 on Wednesday night. Matt Glass also had nine points and Brian Voelkel added 14 rebounds for the Bobcats. Albany (16-13, 8-7 American East) took a 37-36 lead with 6:01 left to play behind a Mike Black layup.
