For a TV series, “Essential Pepin,’’ hosted by Jacques Pepin, is up against “Simply Ming,’’ hosted by Ming Tsai. Molly Stevens’s “All About Roasting,’’ is nominated under the general cookbook and single subject cookbook categories. In the general category, Pepin’s “Essential Pepin’’ book also has been nominated.
Barry Estabrook’s “Tomatoland’’ is in the “food matters’’ category with Didi Emmons’s “Wild Flavors.’’ “The Cook’s Illustrated Cookbook’’ has been nominated in the compilations category, as has “Fine Cooking in Season,’’ from Fine Cooking magazine.
