Fire chief retirement gala

Residents are invited to attend a retirement celebration for Fire Chief Arthur Cotoni, who served the town for 46 years. The celebration will be held at 7:30 p.m. March 2 at the American Legion Post 440, 295 California St., in Newton. Tickets are $40 per person and should be purchased by Feb. 24.
