Seniors once again have the opportunity to participate in the town’s Senior Property Tax Work-off Program, which allows residents to use their knowledge and skills in exchange for credits toward their residential tax bills. Participants must be 60 years old by July 1, and be the owner of record (or spouse of the owner) of a local property. Only one resident of a property can participate in a given year. Up to $800 may be earned, requiring 100 hours of work. Applicants must report to the town treasurer’s office, with their Social Security card and driver’s license, to complete an application form. - Christine Legere
