There was some interest but in the end, no applicants for the affordable-housing lottery for a four-bedroom, 1,300-square-foot house at 30 Pleasant St. The house, which was a gift to the town, was to be sold for $220,000 to an income-eligible first-time buyer, but none of those who expressed interest were able to get the needed loan. The house is for sale to any eligible applicant. Town Administrator Linda Sanders said she will be talking to banks, and selectmen will discuss dropping the price. - David Rattigan
