The annual town election and presidential primary are scheduled to take place March 6. Both elections will be held together, with two ballots to vote. For the presidential primary, there are Democrat, Republican, and Green-Rainbow ballots. Voters who are registered in one of the listed parties must vote on that ballot. Voters who are registered as unenrolled may choose any one of the three ballots. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to information posted on the town website by Town Clerk Laura A. Gemme. The local election includes contested races for open positions on the Reading Municipal Light Board, the Board of Selectmen, and the Board of Assessors. For more information, contact the town clerk’s office at 781-942-6647. - Brenda J. Buote
