The reactivation of a water line on Adams Street may cause some discolored water near the intersection of Reedsdale Road, Central Avenue, and Brook Road for up to three days, starting Wednesday. Other areas that may also see clouding include the Lower Mills area between River Street and Gallivan Boulevard. According to the Massachusetts Water Resource Authority, the discoloration is the result of a small amount of iron in the local pipes. It is safe for drinking and cooking; however, it will stain light-colored items in laundry. For more information or to voice concerns, call 617-305-5950. - Natalie Feulner
