Private funds for schools

The Hanover Foundation for Educational Enrichment will host “A Night with Jim Plunkett” on March 24, from 7:30 p.m. to midnight at the Abington VFW Hall, 30 Central St. Proceeds from the 20th-anniversary celebration will fund grants for enrichment of school programs that aren’t covered by the district’s budget. Tickets, at $15, include a light buffet, dancing, and musical entertainment provided by Plunkett (who is not the former Patriots and Raiders quarterback), along with raffles and drawings.
