Danvers Democrats are holding a caucus on Feb. 25 to elect delegates and alternates to this year’s Massachusetts Democratic State Convention. Organized by the Danvers Democratic Town Committee, the caucus will be held at 10 a.m. in the Gordon Room of the Peabody Institute Library of Danvers, 15 Sylvan St. Anyone age 18 and over from town who was registered as a Democrat as of Dec. 31 can vote or run in the caucus. Twelve delegates and three alternates will be elected. The main business of the convention, set for June 2 at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, will be to endorse a candidate in this year’s race for US Senate. “We are hoping people will turn out at the caucus and that we can get people to go to the convention, because it’s important that Democrats come together,’’ said Marilyn Hazel, chairwoman of the Democratic Town Committee and a member of the Democratic State Committee.
