Pease fire station has been reopened

Fire Station 3 has been given a reprieve. The satellite station at the Pease International Tradeport has been effectively closed since Jan. 2, because the fire department did not have the money to maintain proper staffing. The Portsmouth City Council voted 6-3 to withdraw $150,000 from the undesignated fund to reopen the fire station.
