Burke begins health post

Noreen Burke has started her new post as the city’s health director. She succeeds Jack Vondras, who retired last year. Burke, a native of Ireland, has worked as the head of Somerville’s Human Rights Commission and as Somerville’s public health director. In Somerville, she helped organize the Mayor’s Suicide Prevention Task Force. - Steven Rosenberg
