A House-passed bill that would allow guns on college campuses and other public property in New Hampshire is up for a vote in the Senate.
The Senate Judiciary Committee is recommending that lawmakers study the idea, not put it into effect. The full Senate will vote on that bill and other bills to soften gun regulations on Wednesday.
The committee also is recommending more study of legislation to allow gun owners to transport shotguns and rifles with a bullet in the chamber and another bill that would eliminate the need for law-abiding residents to obtain a license to carry concealed, loaded weapons.
