Harpoon, Brooklyn breweries settle bet

The Harpoon and Brooklyn breweries settled their Super Bowl bet this afternoon. Had the Patriots won, Harpoon IPA would have been on tap at Brooklyn Brewery this week. Alas, a keg of Brooklyn Blast -- a double IPA (because Brooklyn won the same bet with Harpoon in 2008?) -- is now flowing in Harpoon's tasting room. Adding insult to injury, Harpoon founders Rich Doyle (left) and Dan Kenary (right) had to wear Giants outfits today when they settled up with Brooklyn Brewery cofounder Steve Hindy.
