A Saugus woman has pleaded not guilty in the hit-and-run death of an 81-year-old man.
Twenty-four-year-old Steffany Barbanti was arraigned Monday in Lynn District Court on a charge of leaving the scene of a fatal accident. She was freed on $7,500 cash bail. A probable cause hearing was set for March 16.
Barbanti was arrested Saturday, two years to the day after Christos Agganis was struck crossing a street from his Saugus home to the restaurant where he ate with his family every day.
