Looking to hear some amazing writing right in the heart of Dorchester? Well, head down to the Write on the Dot Reading Series Sunday at the Savin Bar + Kitchen, for a showcase for writers from Dorchester and other nearby communities.

The evening will feature poetry and prose from Dot Rats and UMass Boston MFA students.

The event is held twice a semester with the goal of building ties between Dorchester writers and the greater literary community, celebrating the people and stories of the neighborhood and having a good time.

The series begins at 7:00 p.m. and typically runs until 8:30 p.m. The Savin Bar + Kitchen will also be offering exclusive food and drink specials.

This Sunday's lineup includes Johnny Diaz, Karen Locascio, Jonathan Papas, Kathleen McKenna and Audrey Mardavich.
