The Foundation for MetroWest deserves praise for its impressive efforts to teach Concord high school students about philanthropic giving.
At the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, we have long believed in the importance of cultivating future generations of philanthropists through formalized philanthropy education. In 1988 we supported the creation of the Michigan Community Foundations’ Youth Project, which through its Youth Advisory Committees has since trained more than 8,000 young people in Michigan how to raise money and make wise charitable investments. We also support Learning to Give, a national organization that provides free philanthropy curricula for schools and young people.
