A special moment at Mentor Day

The Over My Shoulder Foundation, an organization that promotes mentoring, had its “Thank Your Mentor Day’’ party at the Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams showroom in the Back Bay this week. The feel-good event got even more emotional when singer and mentor Patti Austin gave Santana Roberts, Austin’s longtime mentee, a $10,000 donation to help cover tuition costs at Berklee College of Music. Other revelers and mentors at the party included Magic 106.7 Candy O’Terry, lawyer Rick Dyer, and musicians Jon Butcher, Charlie Farren, and Robin Lane.
