More than 3,000 working media will attend Super Bowl XLVI. It only seems like the majority of them are representing Comcast SportsNet New England.

Michael Felger, Tom Curran, and Gary Tanguay are among at least 18 CSNNE personalities who will be in Indianapolis this week in anticipation of the Patriots-Giants rematch. It’s the largest personnel commitment of any electronic media outlet in the market, and CSNNE isn’t skimping in the programming department, either, dedicating more than 60 hours of coverage from Indianapolis to the game.

If there is any temptation to suggest that the coverage approaches overkill, Felger will tell you that there’s yet to be a saturation point for him when it comes to discussion of the Super Bowl.

“I don’t get tired of it. I don’t feel like two weeks is too long,’’ said Felger, who will be prominent on CSNNE programming such as “SportsNet Central’’ while also hosting the “Felger and Massarotti’’ show on 98.5 The Sports Hub (simulcast on CSNNE) from Indianapolis beginning Monday.

“And every time I hear a talk show host or someone say that, I feel like saying, ‘Dude, when it’s over, it’s over.’

“We all know what February and March are like. It’s a sports black hole. They can take three weeks, for all I care, if it means we’re still talking football. I like hockey, but I’ll take a football game any day of the week.’’

The following is a guide to how local outlets plan to cover the Super Bowl.

■Channel 4: Steve Burton will host “Patriots GameDay Sunday’’ live from Indianapolis beginning this Sunday at 11:30 p.m. He’ll be joined on throughout the week by Levan Reid, Dan Roche (who arrives Sunday), and news siders Jonathan Elias and David Wade (beginning Wednesday).

Channel 4 has several specials planned, some produced as part of their joint venture with Kraft Productions. “Welcome to Indianapolis’’ will air Thursday at 7:30 p.m. “The Rematch Super Bowl’’ runs from 7-8 p.m. Friday. On Saturday, “All-Access’’ will be broadcast live from 7-8 p.m. Game-day coverage begins at 11. “Sports Final’’ will be shown live after NBC has signed off.

■Channel 5: The ABC affiliate is sending a 12-person crew, including Mike Lynch, Mike Dowling, Ed Harding, Bianca de la Garza, and Jim Lokay. Coverage begins Sunday at 6 p.m., with Harding, de la Garza, and Lynch anchoring the evening coverage. De la Garza will team with Lokay on the morning coverage beginning Monday.
