“Last month, I asked OCPF to investigate whether McLaughlin was raising money for me,’’ Murray said. “You’d think I’d know, given that Mike and I have talked on the phone once every couple of minutes for the last half-decade. Still, I’m waiting for the official report before making up my own mind. In the meantime, though, I’m calling on myself to release my cellphone records so people can see whether I was texting or talking at the time of my accident. I’m also urging myself to hold an answer-each-and-every-question press conference.’’

Frustrated by his lack of cooperation in clearing up what have become known as “the Tim Murray Mysteries,’’ Lieutenant Governor Timothy P. Murray yesterday counseled himself to submit to a polygraph.
“I was surprised to learn my story about the car accident has changed several times and that some people don’t believe I really was in the dark about McLaughlin,’’ Murray said. “Since the breathalyzer I took after the accident resolved some questions about that, my hope now is that, if I agree to go this extra step, it will provide the public with further reassurance.’’
Murray stipulated the lie detector test should hone in on his relationship with McLaughlin. Although Murray has insisted he knew nothing of McLaughlin’s unsavory history, the Globe has reported that he was warned about the controversial figure.
“The test results should determine once and for all whether Tim Murray is the naïve politicial bumpkin he claims to be or whether he’s playing fast and loose with the truth,’’ the lieutenant governor said.

Declaring he has “had it up to here with a certain Timothy P. Murray’s none-of-your-damn-business attitude,’’ Lieutenant Governor Timothy P. Murray yesterday proposed a unique arrangement to provide the public with answers about the Tim Murray Mysteries.
