Grains are so good for you, but the calories!

Nothing fits and it's driving me crazy. I've been living on this  Turkish red lentil soup for weeks now, and during this time, entering all meals into a  Lose It! app on my phone. ("I would prefer to be overweight rather than record everything I eat," my page designer announced when I told him.)

In the Lose It! app, you enter the serving size and calories of your favorite foods, and then the next time you record them, they're right there. I began my red lentil soup diet sipping on this little tea cup before, say, a piece of fish or turkey. Now I've moved into a large bowl as the main course, along with a salad. Calories for 1 cup of red lentils, it turns out, are over 650. This is so discouraging. My weight is moving down, but not without enormous effort. I suppose I shouldn't complain. Down is the right direction.
