Police in Beacon Falls remain outside a home where a man who is believed to be armed barricaded himself inside after a domestic dispute.
Officers responded to the home on Church Street at about 2:30 a.m. Monday. Tactical teams are at the scene and police are trying to communicate with the man. It’s not clear if anyone else is in the home.
Several homes in the neighborhood have been evacuated as a precaution.
The incident follows an unrelated 10-hour police stand-off in Bristol, where an armed man who had been threatening to harm himself surrendered to officers at about 5 a.m. Monday. No one else was in the home.
