Vermont police are investigating a head-on collision that killed a 56-year-old Las Vegas man and his 10-year-old son.

State police say a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Joshua Ouimette of Rutland crossed the center line on U.S. Route 4 in Bridgewater at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday and crashed into an oncoming sport utility vehicle.

Christopher Raleigh, of Las Vegas, and his son, Travis, died at the scene. Raleigh’s wife, 47-year-old Anastasia Raleigh, was listed in critical condition with severe head and internal injuries. Thirteen-year-old James Raleigh suffered minor injuries.

Officials said Ouimette and his passenger, 28-year-old Stephanie Hill of Rutland, suffered severe but non-life threatening injuries. A 6-month-old infant who was in a child safety seat was not injured.

Police say alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor.
