German pianist Clemens Teufel will perform works by Beethoven, Schumann,…

Rockport Music has added four concerts to its upcoming series of performances at the Shalin Liu Performance Center in Rockport.

The first of the new entries is a recital by Clemens Teufel, a German pianist not well known in this country. He plays a program of Bach, Beethoven, Schumann, and Debussy tonight. The concert is dedicated to the memory of Gloucester resident Ute von Haller, who passed away in August. According to Rockport Music, her widower, Jochen von Haller, is Teufel’s great uncle. The concert is being underwritten by two Gloucester couples.

Pianist Vassily Primakov is better known here, thanks in part to a well-regarded CD of Chopin Mazurkas released by Bridge Records in 2009. Primakov’s March 11 Rockport concert features three of the Mazurkas along with other works by Chopin, Schumann’s Piano Sonata No. 3 in F minor, and a suite of waltzes by Schubert.

Speaking of Schubert, that composer’s haunting song cycle “Die Winterreise’’ is the sole item of a Feb. 24 performance by tenor William Hite and pianist Gilles Vonsattel, both of whom are on the faculty of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

For the fourth additional concert, a Latin-themed program by guitarist Bret Williams that was announced previously will be replaced by a program to be announced.

Rockport’s summer festival will be announced early next month.

Goat Rodeo at the movies

Theater information has been announced for the live cinecast of the first of two Goat Rodeo Sessions shows at the House of Blues on Jan. 31. The concerts - which bring together cellist Yo-Yo Ma, mandolinist Chris Thile, fiddler Stuart Duncan, and bassist Edgar Meyer - were added last month to the schedule of the Celebrity Series of Boston.

The shows will be the quartet’s first full-length concerts. The 7:30 p.m. show will be shown in more than 450 theaters nationwide by NCM Fathom. The sole Boston theater carrying the performance will be the Regal Fenway 13. The concert will also be shown at theaters in Bellingham, Burlington, Dedham, Framingham, Hadley, Pittsfield, and Swansea.

Tickets for the cinecast are on sale now. Remaining concert tickets for the 7:30 show are limited to VIP packages at $250 each. Tickets for the 10 p.m. set are still available.
