The annual midwinter bald eagle national survey is set to run from Jan. 4–12. Those spotting eagles are urged to report sightings to the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife. Provide the date, time, location and town, number of birds, whether juvenile or adult, and observer contact information. Images are welcome but not required. Report sightings either to mass.wildlife@state.ma.us or by mail to Eagle Survey, MassWildlife, Natural and Endangered Species Program, 1 Rabbit Hill Road, Westborough, MA 01581. Last January, 61 e-mailed reports were received during the two-week survey period.
