Game 23: Bruins at Maple Leafs

TORONTO — Good morning from the Air Canada Centre, where the Bruins will kick off a home-and-home series with the Leafs tonight. The Bruins are one point behind Toronto. The teams will play again on Saturday at TD Garden.

This will be the Bruins’ first look at former prospect Joe Colborne. The ex-Denver star is centering Toronto’s third line. In five games, Colborne has scored one goal and has three assists. Colborne was Boston’s first-round pick in 2008 and was wheeled to Toronto last year in a package for Tomas Kaberle.

Storylines: The Bruins are 11-0-1 in November. They could close out the month tonight without a regulation loss. It would be the franchise’s first month without a regulation loss since January of 1969, when the Bruins went 10-0-4. They have not recorded points in 13 straight games since 1983, when they went 15-0-2 in January and February… James Reimer will not be in uniform tonight. He could serve as Jonas Gustavsson's backup on Saturday… Kelly Sutherland and Frederick L’Ecuyer will be the referees. Greg Devorski and Steve Barton will be the linesmen.
