It's amazing what someone can accomplish with outrage, Photoshop, and a good eye. The website Pepper Spraying Cop takes famous images and inserts a now-notorious law enforcement officer using a now even-more-notorious crowd-control device.
The examples are at once hilarious, grotesque, and horrifying. Lee Harvey Oswald gets sprayed instead of shot in the newsphoto of his murder. One of Edward Hopper's "Nighthawks" gets sprayed in the painting (maybe he didn't pay his tab?).
There are, of course, multiple movie examples. Robert Duvall gets it in "Apocalypse Now," James Stewart in "It's a Wonderful Life," Tippi Hedren in "The Birds," Kate Winslet in "Titanic" (with Leonardo DiCaprio holding her in place on the prow of the ship for better aim -- and you had thought that scene was so romantic), Harrison Ford in "Return of the Jedi," Klaus Kinski in "Aguirre: The Wrath of God" (that one sort of makes sense, actually).
