NINE MONTHS ***

(Encore on Comcast) Slick commercial comedy with funny, punched-up performances by Robin Williams, Tom Arnold, Joan Cusack, and Jeff Goldblum. The supporting cast carries an otherwise slender plot line about a yuppie (Hugh Grant) who freaks out when his live-in companion of eight years (Julianne Moore) tells him she’s pregnant. (PG-13; runs through Jan. 26)

LAST MAN STANDING **

(Encore on Comcast) Bruce Willis stars as the hired gun setting two criminal factions against one another in Walter Hill’s remake of Akira Kurosawa’s “Yojimbo.’’ It’s transferred to a dusty Prohibition-era border town in Texas, with iconic reverence and handsome visuals - but little dramatic urgency. (R; runs through Jan. 31)

I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER **

(Starz on Comcast) So-so slasher movie in which a Darth Vader-like stalker starts picking off high school grads sharing a guilty secret in a North Carolina seacoast town. Although Kevin Williamson wrote it, it’s no “Scream.’’ It’s more like one of the movies Williamson’s “Scream’’ parodies. (R; runs through Feb. 12)
