Andruzzi meets young fan at Tackle Cancer event

Former Patriots star and cancer survivor Joe Andruzzi got to know 5-year-old fan and cancer survivor Jackie Mullen (left) at the fourth annual “New England Celebrities Tackle Cancer’’ gala, which was held at Christina’s in Foxborough. The event drew current players such as Matt Light, Dan Koppen, Kevin Faulk, Rob Gronkowski, Stephen Gostkowski, and Jermaine Cunningham, as well as former Pats such as Ronnie Lippett and Harold Shaw. The night raised more than $375,000 for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation, which helps cancer patients and their families… . Pats players were out and about yesterday. In honor of Veterans Day, Cunningham, Mark Anderson, and Zoltan Mesko paid a visit to the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford.
