Kyle Newhall-Caballero capped a 99-yard drive with an 18-yard touchdown pass to Jonah Fay with 3:04 remaining, powering Brown to a 20-13 come-from-behind victory over Holy Cross yesterday in Providence.

Newhall-Caballero marched the Bears (3-1) the length of the field in nearly six minutes and 11 plays, taking the lead for good on a scrambling third-down throw. He finished 25 of 39 for 229 yards and two touchdowns.

Brown led, 10-6, at halftime after Newhall-Caballero’s first TD pass, a 9-yarder to Tellef Lundevall.

But Ryan Taggart threw a 9-yard TD pass to Gerald Mistretta, putting the Crusaders (2-3) ahead, 13-10, after three quarters.

Alexander Norocea kicked a 34-yard field goal early in the fourth to even the score, setting up the winning drive.

Holy Cross outgained Brown, 373-324, but had an interception and a lost fumble, while the Bears did not turn the ball over.

Maine 25, James Madison 24 - Chris Treister’s 2-point conversion in overtime gave the No. 19 Black Bears a stunning Colonial Athletic Association victory over the No. 6 Dukes in Harrisonburg, Va.

After scoring a touchdown in OT, the Black Bears (4-1, 2-0) went for the win, using a special formation. Treister took the snap with an option to pitch or throw the ball, but he kept it and leaped into the end zone.

The Dukes (4-2, 2-1) took the lead on a field goal with 2:06 left, but Brian Harvey nailed a 34-yarder with 44 seconds left to tie it.

UNH 47, Villanova 17 - Kevin Decker threw for three touchdowns and ran for another, leading the No. 7 Wildcats to an easy win at Durham, N.H.

Decker was 24 for 33 with 401 yards for UNH (4-1, 2-0 CAA), which beat Villanova for the sixth time in the last eight meetings. R.J. Harris added 190 yards and a touchdown on seven catches.

Chris Polony hit Dorian Wells from 9 yards out to pull Villanova (1-5, 0-3) within 24-10 just before halftime. But UNH ran off 20 straight points to seal it.

Old Dominion 31, Rhode Island 23 - Taylor Heinicke threw for three touchdowns and rushed for another score to help the visiting Monarchs (5-1, 2-1 CAA) escape with a victory after the Rams took a 23-21 lead on Louis Feinstein’s 38-yard field goal with 6:46 left in the third quarter.

Steve Probst was 18 of 24 for 143 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions for URI.

Yale 30, Dartmouth 0 - Alex Thomas rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown as the host Bulldogs (3-1, 2-0 Ivy) racked up 480 yards of offense, while limiting the Big Green (1-3, 0-2) to just 178.
