The winter is coming, so why not get out of the house while it’s still warm. Go for a walk along the coast or maybe go to one of these great events happening in your neighborhood.

The 2nd Annual Boston Local Food Festival, will be happening Saturday from 11 a.m. - 5p.m. at the Fort Point Channel. During the free event local restaurants and residents will showcase some tasty food for all to enjoy. Along with the food there will be local music and art, as well craft beer and mead. Looking for a good yard sale close to home? The Fort Point Yard Sale will be in full swing from 10 a.m. — 3p.m. It will be held in the parking lot at the corner of A Street and Iron Street. For more information or to donate email fortpointyardsale@gmail.com.

The South Boston Branch of the Boston Public Library will also be holding their Seventh Annual Fall Fair Saturday from 12 p.m. — 3 p.m. The family-friendly event includes face painting, a petting zoo and even a pumpkin for the kids. The festival will take place in the library's walled garden (weather permitting).
