Catherine D’Amato, president of the Greater Boston Food Bank, was honored yesterday as the Anti-Defamation League’s Woman of Valor. D’Amato was feted by ADL New England’s Derrek Shulman and past honorees, including Attorney General Martha Coakley, John Hancock’s Carol Fulp, Esta Gordon Esptein, wife of Celtics co-owner Bob Epstein, and Boston’s first lady, Angela Menino, who was joined at the event at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel by daughter Susan Menino Fenton.
