Man sentenced for sex assault on girl

A 31-year-old Maine man has been ordered to spend six years in prison for raping a 13-year-old girl. Kenneth Ridlon Jr. of Avon was sentenced Friday in Androscoggin County Superior Court. Ridlon was arrested last year after school personnel reported the case to police. According to the Sun Journal of Lewiston, the victim’s mother told the judge that her daughter has missed a lot of school and has nightmares because of the assault. Ridlon was also convicted a decade ago of a felony sex crime involving a 13-year-old girl. (AP)
