Newton producer Sam Weisman’s reality a cappella show, “The Sing-Off,’’ will feature two New England groups during its third season. The Dartmouth Aires from Dartmouth College, and North Shore, from our very own North Shore, will compete in front of judges Ben Folds, Sara Bareilles (who plays the Bank of America Pavilion on Aug. 30), and Shawn Stockman when season 3 kicks off Sept. 19. “The Sing-Off’’ has already featured a few local groups. Berklee’s Pitch Slapped appeared on the second season. The Tufts Beelzebubs stole the show during season 1 and went on to do vocal work on “Glee.’’
