Burlington, Vermont has seen the Stanley Cup on numerous occasions - most recently last fall when former University of Vermont strength and conditioning coach Paul Goodman, now with the Blackhawks, brought it to town, and in 2004, when former UVM forward Martin St. Louis won it with the Lightning. But it's safe to say the fervor over its next visit to the Queen City will be unmatched.
Bruins goalie Tim Thomas has earned a second day with Lord Stanley's Cup, and will bring it to his old collegiate stomping grounds, where there will be a parade from the Burlington waterfront to Church Street on Sept. 3. Thomas decided to bring the Cup to his hometown of Flint, Mich. with his initial day, which led some to wonder if the Conn Smythe and Vezina winner might get another chance to celebrate his team's title in the New England town where he blossomed.
