Town council seats open

RANDOLPH

August 11, 2011

All nine seats on the Randolph Town Council will be up for grabs during the Nov. 8 town election, and so far six of the present councilors have indicated an interest to continue in office for another two years. The current councilors compose the town’s first Town Council, based on Town Charter changes made in 2009. At-large councilors William Alexopoulos, Paul Fernandes, and Andrew Azer have pulled election papers, as well as District 2 Councilor Arthur Goldstein, District 3 Councilor Richard Brewer, and District 4 Councilor Paul Meoni. Some School Committee seats and positions for the Board of Library Trustees, the two other elected offices under the revised Town Charter, are also on the ballot. Candidates have until Sept. 14 to take out their nomination papers.
