Training Camp '11: Day 2, morning

Today's morning session was again a relatively brief walkthrough, as it was yesterday, and the highlight was the presence of Chad Ochocinco.

Though Bill Belichick said in his pre-practice press conference that the deals for Ochocinco and Albert Haynesworth weren't done yet, the receiver was on the field in a skin-tight navy blue long-sleeve shirt and sweat pants with the Patriots logo on one thigh. As soon as the fans spotted him, he got a huge cheer.

Ochocinco spent much of the session talking to Brady and Deion Branch, and also spent a bit of time chatting with offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien. Once the walkthrough was over, Ochocinco headed into the Dana-Farber Fieldhouse, possibly to take his conditioning test, while the rest of his soon-to-be teammates headed back toward Gillette Stadium.

Bill Belichick also is believed to have been in the FIeldhouse, and walked back across the fields and down into the belly of the stadium about 20 minutes later.

As for morning attendance, 11 players weren't spotted - unsigned draft picks Nate Solder, Ras-I Dowling, Shane Vereen and Marcus Cannon, plus Kyle Arrington, BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Logan Mankins, Nate Solder, Nick Kaczur, Alge Crumpler, Myron Pryor and Sammy Morris.

Third-round pick Ryan Mallett signed his contract this morning and was on the field.

The day's next practice begins at 2:30 p.m.
