Summers is no fan of Winklevosses

Larry Summers doesn’t think much of the Winklevoss twins. In an interview at Fortune’s Brainstorm Tech conference, the former Harvard president dissed Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, the brothers who claim that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg stole their idea for the social networking site when they were at Harvard together. “Rarely, have I encountered such swagger, and I tried to respond in kind,’’ said Summers, whose meeting with the Winklevoss boys was dramatized in the film “The Social Network.’’ “One of the things you learn as a college president is that if an undergraduate is wearing a tie and jacket on Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock, there are two possibilities: One is that they’re looking for a job and have an interview; the other is that they are an [expletive]. This was the latter case.’’ The brothers later reached a multimillion-dollar settlement with Zuckerberg.
